Shawano Couple Vows to Help with Grief and Loneliness During the Holidays with their Empowering Books
As the holiday season approaches, many individuals find themselves grappling with the bittersweet mix of emotions that come with the absence of loved ones. In fact, according to a survey by New Experience Camps/Harris Poll Survey (Experience Camps, 2021), 36% of Americans don’t feel like celebrating the holidays due to grief or loss.
To address this common struggle, James and Linda Meyer are thrilled to share "God Knew – Revelations of God’s Grace in Unexpected Ways" - a heartfelt and empowering book designed to help people navigate grief during the holidays. Written in 2015 by a local author to help him deal with his own grief, James W. Meyer, believes “God Knew” offers solace, guidance, and support to those who are mourning the loss of loved ones. Jim shares his own personal story of the loss of his parents and hopes that the words he shares will encourage others who are experiencing the same emotions and loss that he experienced. He believes that God Knew brings hope and comfort during a time that can often be challenging and emotionally overwhelming. After reading this inspiring story, Meyer hopes that readers will grasp and understand that “God has a plan, and although it might not be exactly the one you planned for, it’s important to trust that it is the right one for you.”
Jim attributes the unexpected sequence of events that led him to meet and marry his wife, Linda, to what could only be explained as divine intervention. Together, this ordinary couple, who live a self-proclaimed ordinary life in Northeast Wisconsin, wrote a sequel to “God Knew – Revelations of God’s Grace in Unexpected Ways” about the extraordinary ways that God is present in their lives. The couple believes that their newly-released, traditionally-published sequel through Titletown Publishing of Green Bay, Wisconsin, “God Knew - Faithfulness Fulfilled,” will help guide you closer to God and demonstrate God’s faithfulness in your life. Together, they invite you to walk with them, and recognize that times of waiting are not always a ”no” from God, but likely a protection for His best plan for you. '
“We are delighted to share our story with readers through this inspiring book," expresses Linda and Jim Meyer. "Our mission is to encourage and reinforce the Biblical truth that God loves you,
He is always near, and He will never leave you or abandon you while you are undergoing times of waiting or grief.”
Jim and Linda are dedicated to spreading the hopeful message of "God Knew" to others and have committed themselves to various platforms and activities. They aim to reach a wider audience through their website, online store, social media, book signings and, in the future, interviews, speaking events, podcasting, and by incorporating real-life stories into future sequels of "God Knew."
They are currently inviting individuals to submit their own inspiring “God Knew” stories for potential publication in upcoming books. To share your own "God Knew" story and have the chance to be featured in future editions, please visit the website www.godknew.org for more information. Additionally, the Meyers encourage people to contribute inspirational photos to their website, which may be considered for future calendar publications.
Jim and Linda cordially invite you to an author celebration event at Discover Church, 7311 S. 13th Street in Oak Creek, Wisconsin on December 3, 2023, before and after the morning services (8 am, 9:30 am and 11 am). Join them, along with other authors who call Discover Church their home church, in promoting their inspiring books and discover the life-changing power of "God Knew."
At the event, Jim and Linda will have "God Knew" gift boxes, lovingly referred to as “Comfort Boxes” available for purchase. These comfort boxes will include copies of both of their books, a 2024 scenic wall calendar, a mouse pad, a coffee mug, a packet of Door County holiday-themed coffee, and other God Knew merchandise. They believe these boxes would be perfect Christmas gifts for anyone who loves to read, loves coffee, and could just use some hope, encouragement, and inspiration during the holiday season.
In addition to the upcoming event and "God Knew" gift boxes, Jim and Linda's books are currently available for purchase on their website, Amazon.com, and Books-A-Million. They hope to have them available soon locally, as well. Keep an eye out on Facebook for updates on that front.
To stay up-to-date on future events and appearances, please visit their website at www.godknew.org. Jim and Linda are excited to continue sharing their message of hope and healing, and they look forward to connecting with readers near and far.
